Is non-existent.  Ask any runner, or any endurance athlete for that matter how quickly your stamina and endurance drops off when you are not getting out regularly. At my Peak I was getting in many miles before I had to stop to rest. Now I am lucky when I can get much over a single mile before I am stopping, trying to get my breath.  I am also having issues with pacing.  Part of this is because I am not only not getting out enough, but also not running with anyone.  I find it much easier to pace when I running with someone, which is why the start of the last race I participated in (the PCRF Reaching for the Cure 10K) was so strong. I want to give a shout out to my friends Kasey and Katie who ran the 10K with me. They helped me pace out the first half, which were the last real strong miles I have had.

So the big question is how do I get back? Persistence. Making the time to get out there more often, and getting the miles in.  Although that is often a lot easier said than done.

Stay tuned as I will keep you all up to date on how I get back to my old self and running regularly.
